Law Office Of Paul Ferrell Jr

Paul Ferrell, Jr. rose through the ranks of the New York City public school system and subsequently graduated from Delaware State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with an emphasis on accounting. He gained success in industrial accounting in Fortune 500 companies like Ford Motor Company, Johnson & Johnson, and Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He then spent several years working in the public sector in financial and administrative positions prior to entering law school.

Mr. Ferrell began as a law clerk in the office of the New Jersey Public Defender in Burlington County after graduating from Temple University School of Law. Following his clerkship in the Public Defender’s Office, he became a trial attorney defending adult and juvenile clients. In 1983 he began a full-time, private practice, where he served the legal needs of a broad cross-section of individuals in the areas of criminal and civil law, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases, as well as governmental bodies and private citizens. During this time he was also legal counsel to a large public school district as well as a municipal Zoning Board of Adjustment.

In 1994 he became an Assistant Prosecutor in the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office. In this capacity he prosecuted juvenile offenders, made presentations to the grand jury, and conducted trials from arraignment to verdict and sentencing. In 2004 Mr. Ferrell resumed a full-time private practice which to date has focused on criminal defense, immigration, municipal court, real estate transactions, wills and estates, powers of attorney, as well as civil litigation. Mr. Ferrell is very active in the community, volunteering at a senior citizens convalescent center, teaching courses in legal procedure to future police officers, and contributing services on various Bar Association committees.

Out of all of his immigration law cases, the one in which he takes the most personal pride is one that resulted in the approval of a petition for his current wife to emigrate to the United States from her native country of the Dominican Republic in 2008. They currently make their home in Marlton, New Jersey where they are virtually inseparable when not working. They enjoy spending time helping each other to become bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

“As I look back over the 31 year period of my career, I take humble pride in the knowledge that I have been fortunate to enjoy such a rich and diverse background as a public servant and a private advocate, serving the needs of juveniles and adults, helping provide citizens with bankruptcy relief, representing plaintiffs and defendants in civil actions ranging from personal injury to contractual disputes- in both the state and federal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.” – Paul Ferrell, Jr.
